All About Adam
aDAM GooD CooKiE! was established as a result of fulfilling the personal needs of friends and family.
Adam started baking at the early age of 6. He learned the art and science of home baking techniques from his grandmother, who was concerned about the high calorie mass produced treats that were becoming a staple in American pantries. Most mass produced treats at the time were beginning to use manufactured ingredients that no one had ever heard of, and most were difficult to even pronounce!
Though he did not originally pursue baking as his profession, Adam has been baking his whole life for friends and family. When one of Adam's friends was diagnosed with Celiac disease he was alarmed by how awful and artificially tasting baked goods on the market were. He feared that she would never be able to eat traditionally tasting baked goods like grandma used to make without using unpronounceable ingredients. It became his mission using his experiences as a child to make great tasting baked goods without using the artificial ingredients that are used in many of today's gluten-free products.
After almost two decades in the entertainment business most recently producing documentaries, Adam started to win more awards and accolades for his gluten-free baking. In the 2014 Brooklyn Cookie Takedown, Adam’s flourless peanut butter cookies was the #1 gluten-free cookie and fourth place overall against forty other bakers who had no limitations when it came to ingredients used. Adam decided explore a possible career in creating gluten-free treats that everyone would want to eat. He enrolled in the City of New York Culinary School in Brooklyn and upon graduation, aDAM GooD CooKiE! was born.
